the skeletons in my closet

gather together each season

they wish to ruin my mornings

for i don't know what reason

i wake up one fine day to find

ashes scattered around my room

the sunlight i once adored

seems to pierce my eyes

the wind makes me shiver

and my favorite fruit is bitter

the dust doesn't seem to settle

i don't know when it'll be

that i tell the souls

burst out of me

let me breathe

let me be free

until then i'll go to the cemetery

dig away each season

bury them deeper

just for the skeletons to return

for i don't know what reason
