sometimes i feel like

i'm standing at the gallows

waiting

tweaking and adjusting

my plea

waiting to see

if i've changed enough

to no longer be guilty

if i've shown enough

to leave the death row

and be allowed to flee

-- sometimes when you're mad at me.
